The Fold - Page, AZ

Hidden below the surface of the Arizona desert are the otherworldly and magical slot canyons. When timed right, it is possible to catch a light ray sneaking through the slim opening in the surface 150’ above. As the light makes its way down and reflects off the sandstone walls, more and more of the light waves get absorbed. Eventually, in some sections only the shorter blues remain. Our eyes can adjust to this change, but the camera eye picks up this transition in all its glory. Magic light slipping through the folds of the walls of the slot canyon creates a tapestry of surreal color that is just waiting to be displayed.
